what does our fitness & performance coaching include?

At Motus RX, we offer performance coaching, and this is all a part of our process of how we want to have individuals become a better, more resilient version of themselves.

We may have an individual who initially comes in in pain and has been rehabbed, with their pain eliminated, but now we want them to move on and build on any progress they have made.

Some people will then work with our performance coach to help reduce the chance of re-injury later down the road and work on strength. This allows people to get a better idea of how strength training can help support their sport, their hobby, their physical activity, and their mobility.

who would benefit from our fitness & performance coaching?

Our performance coach helps individuals to focus on mechanics and how they should be moving in the gym, or how they can move better with their sport. If you have worked with Motus RX for rehab, not only are you getting out of pain, but now you’re going to be taking the next step, getting all the way well and becoming the best version of yourself, which echoes the idea of proactivity that we preach here at Motus. Proactivity is to not just get baseline, but to get all the way well, essentially maxing out what you can do with their potential, both physically and mentally.

For other individuals, if you don’t have pain and you don’t start with rehab, or you don’t have a specific pain point that brought you in, you might just be that athlete or that individual who just wants to move and perform better, hence the term performance coach.

With our performance coaching, we help individuals optimize their movement for their sport or their activity. We identify any issues that you might have with movement quality, and we are able to work on strength to help prevent injury, crafting a personalized game plan for you.

Our facilities for fitness & performance coaching

Motus RX is not just a bunch of treatment tables lined up; we also have a full gym, complete with squat racks, free weights, dumbbells and barbells. We’re constantly adding things to the gym as we find new situations or new people that need different things. We’re updating with trap bars and medicine balls and all sorts of things to help us get people all the way well.

Our clinic and gym have all the tools and resources to help load you up appropriately and look at different things that you might be doing in the gym or in your sport, ensuring you’re ready to return to your sport or hobby better than ever.

This is especially great for clients who are in a plan of care with our rehab team or are working with our performance coach or massage therapist. You have access to our gym here at Motus, and someone overseeing you, helping you feel comfortable about the different activities and exercises that you’re doing.

Knowing exactly what you should be doing and having somebody hold you accountable to that from either a strength training standpoint, a fitness standpoint, or even a nutrition standpoint – that’s what our performance coach is going to do for you.
